BUSTRIP - projektin loppukonferenssi pidetään Turussa 8.-9.11.2007.

Ohessa ja alla konferenssikutsu ja tämänhetkinen ohjelmaversio.
Työryhmien osalta ohjelma täsmentyy, kun saamme tietoja kaupungeilta.

Pyydän levittämään kutsua eteenpäin kaikille kiinnostuneille.

Seminaarin tieteellisten pääpuhujien anti on painokas:
- Prof. Carmen Hass-Klau on laatinut laajoja kansainvälisiä joukkoliikenteen
vaikutuksia koskevia vertailututkimuksia,
kuten Future of Urban Transport (2002) ja Economic Impact of Light Rail (2004)
-  Arkkitehti Helle Søholt on kehittänyt ja tutkinut kaupunkitilaa, kävelyä ja
pyöräilyä GEHL Architects - toimistossa
- Prof. Harri Andersson on tutkinut laajasti kaupunkikehitystä ja sen muutoksia

Seminaarin työkieli on englanti.

Osallistujilta edellytetään ilmoittautumista, mutta konferenssi on maksuton.

We wish to invite you to share experiences and practices on how to work with
Sustainable Urban Transport Plans at the final conference of the BUSTRIP
project 8-9 November 2007 in Turku, Finland.

The conference aims at providing practical solutions and tools for European
cities and municipalities to deliver Sustainable Urban Transport. At the
conference the outcomes of the BUSTRIP - Baltic Urban Sustainable Transport
Implementation and Planning are presented; the twelve Sustainable Urban
Transport Plans (SUTP) prepared by the partner cities and the SUTP toolbox,
collecting all the learning experiences and good practices from the cities. The
toolbox assists European cities with the opportunities available to move
towards sustainable urban transport and guide them in doing their own SUTP.

BUSTRIP project aims at making  Sustainable Urban Transport Plans and starting
the implementation of them iin the 12 partner cities, Kaunas, Gdynia, Göteborg,
Bremen, Vilnius, Pärnu, Tartu, Sundsvall, Örebro, Kouvola, Turku and Liepaja.
The results from the work with Peer Reviewing the cities Sustainable Transport
systems and the cities experiences in working with Sustainable Urban Transport
Plans is collected into a toolbox that will be translated to the 8 project
lanaguages and distributed at the conference. For further information www.
